Ryerson University has won the 2013 Phoenix College Challenge competition for flexographic printing. The award was presented at the recent Flexographic Technical Association (FTA) Annual Forum Awards Banquet, Sunday April 28th in San Diego CA in front of 1400 industry attendees. This year the CFTC has made a number of changes to our annual Golf Tournament. The venue remains the same but as you have no doubt already noticed, the Tournament name has changed. This name change now reflects directly its purpose. It’s hoped that this name change will also allow for a wider appeal and therefore expanded support from all segments of the Canadian flexographic industry. We heartfully thank the many supporters and sponsors from the roll label industry but we can no longer allow them to solely carry the ball. We will be appealing to the industry’s many different business models for their support and participation.
The second change is that of date. This was done as a response to high number of competing tournaments offered around the old 1st Monday in June date. Many companies are limiting their expenditures and are divided in their support by these date conflicts. By moving our event to the later part of the season we hope to attract more of their people as they attempt to get their last (or first & only) golf experience in before the close of the season.Read More →
Gordon Graydon has initiated a new program called Graphic Design Management or GDM.
